hi guys just recieved my order from the vape mesh company this morning and they have sent me a free spool of .42 kanthal , what can i use it for ? does anyone use wire this thick for coils?

Yeah, dual coil 6 wraps, cotton wick. Vapes like a train. I just got some from there this morning too.

Yeah, dual coil 6 wraps, cotton wick. Vapes like a train. I just got some from there this morning too.

That's going to be a very low resistance.  Make sure your batteries can handle it before trying something like that

dual coil 6 wraps is probably way down around 0.3 ohms

So if it's such a low resistance why tell someone to dual coil it and vape without knowing about their setup? A touch unsafe without high draw batteries maybe?

theinhaler asked if anyone used it, I told him I do and what I do with it. I never told him he had to do the same. Would I discuss this in a newbie thread? No! I'm replying to a thread in the modders & rebuildables forum here, what's your problem?

The problem is that there's nothing stopping newbies reading this thread and getting the wrong impression and heading off happily to make dual coils using trustire batteries. There have been a couple of times recently not just on this forum where new vapers have dived straight in with mech mods and rebuildables with no idea about risks until it was pointed out that there are certain things to be aware of.

 erik514 - I would also be concerned that the Vape Mesh Company is sending out such low resistance wire as freebies without knowing the level of expertise of the customer.
