Ego 650Mah battery or may be an Ego copy, the one with a press three times on/off/power button that lights up blue. May be completely coincidental, but it happened with my first attempt at a recoil (Vivi Nova STV). Recoil didn't appear to work with 2 batteries, but sort of worked with this one, briefly. Anyhow, now the blue button light is permanently lit up on it and on testing with an electrical screwdriver, it's now permanently on. Has it had it? or is there some way of fixing it ie rebooting it so it returns back to being an on/off switch. Could me coiling it wrong have caused the battery to short or something? Thanks Paul

Thanks Paul It shouldn't have because they usually have short ct protection but I am not sure what you have there as all the EGO's I have seen are 5 click on/off. But if you are recoiling you must have a resistance checker, either an ohm meter or a mod that reads attie resistance. Recoiling without checking the resistance is just asking for trouble (as you have now found out)

Does sound like a short with your coil, used to happen to me now and again in my early days of doing coils. Did find thou? with my ego batteries? the lights would go out and their would be no power anywhere. So what i did was put the battery back on charge, and this sorted out the problem. Give it a go and see how you get on. but you do need a resistance checker. A nice one has come up on fasttech this week, and does look good.
Cheers......Rick

Think I read somewhere that if you leave your battery to fully discharge then recharge it it should sort it out.

Cheers Just for the record, I do have an ohms meter thing, it's just a cheapy off ebay, but it's as per recommended in the recoil instructions posted on here.
I've now fitted a 2nd atomiser from my first attempt at recoiling and it's working nicely with the other batteries (it's giving a slightly funny after taste, so might try one more/less coil next time).
I'll try leaving the battery to fully discharge and do a full recharge (might take a quite a few days to be fully discharged by the little blue light)
