is something wrong with my dyson or is it just me?

Dyson customer care has a 20 min wait time right now

Anyhow it's just blowing hot air out of the bottom by the motor? Don't know if this is normal. It's a cylinder. DC20.....gotten second hand last year. Works fine. Have gotten various spare parts for it

Anything to worry about or not?

sometimes the spiral rolls up something - so if you can take out the spiral and put it back in - that way you can also look if something is blocking the tube - happened to us once - was just a tiny piece of paper

unplug take out spiral blow through pipe and see if you can here air coming through pipe if not you will need to remove pipe and clear blockage if air is coming through pipe then it is time to change filters hope this helps any more info give me a shout

okay you have a clear bucket type thing that holds all the dust. inside it is a plastic spiral it is the thing that you can see spinning around when you switch your dyson on

Nope is not that but will check. Phoned dyson who said everything was working as it should do

So not worried now . Just have the flu

Without seeing it its imposible to say, have you tried changing the filters, or washing them out if they are the washable ones ( don't forget to let them dry first ) it does sound like the filters are clogged causing it to overheat, but don't use it as it is
