Hey guys,
So I have been vaping this VTR, and can't help but notice that the ohms keep going up every time I check it. It's a 2.1 head and it is reading at 7.7! So does this mean I will need to replace it soon? The flavor is tasting more burnt and I'm getting less vapor. What's going on?

7.7 is definitely a short inside somewhere - I did read that some VTRs have a problem with the 510 connection but as you can still vape it I guess it's just the coil.
Time to replace the head.

You have a bad connection somewhere - the VTR is upping the volts because it thinks its a higher resistance coil than it really is. Try cleaning the connections and then check its correctly attached and then see what its reading.

I did read that the 510 connection were having problems, but that was the first versions of the mod, with the rotating base. Mine is the newest version with the solid base. I guess I'll change the head then, thanks a bunch.

Ok, so I pulled the 30s, there seemed to be a slight leaking problem maybe a drop on the connection, tried to clean it up and still reading high. Is there any way that if the head was going bad it would actually read higher? I don't want my vtr to be broken already.

If one coil had blown you will get a reading of about 4.2 ohms so it may be combination of the two - can't you screw in another attie - that will check the VTR end

That is a great idea, so I popped in a co-workers two tanks which were some small ego style, one read at 2.2 the other 2.6. So relieved that its not on VTRs end. Off to see the wizard!
