I'm a left hander. Like many of you, I was forced to use my right hand to write with in Primary school. Got many a wack with the ruler if I forgot and used my left hand. Consequently I use either hand for different things - write left handed, catch and throw balls right handed, play a gutar left handed, comfortable holding a mod in either and coil using both hands

I'm a lefty. Regarding the post asking "Why were you made to use your right hand" from richvapers. Back in the 50's and 60's I went to various Catholic schools. Being "left handed" was considered "the devil's hand". The Latin word is sinistral. From where we get the word sinister. I literally had teachers standing over me to ensure that I didn't use my left hand. Did it affect me? Yes. It caused me to stammer/stutter whenever I tried to talk. I'm over the stammering now and have found a site: Anythinglefthanded.com That's where I bought my first left handed fountain pen. Just remember that a right handed person drags the pen nib across the page, while a left hander has to push the pen across the page. I really love my left handed fountain pen

Right.
Lot of southpaws on this forum, or maybe lefties are more likely to read the post?

I do most things left handed except when holding a cricket bat! I vape with either hand and have just started Archery with a custom left handed bow! Always remember: A right hander has a dominant side of the brain, the left. Whilst left handers dominant side is the right. Therefore we are the only people "in our right minds".

Another leftie here.
I remember watching a documentary on this subject many years ago.apparently left handers have quicker reflexes than right handers. This is born out by the unusually high proportion of left handed top tennis players over the years. I feel it's definitely true. I am not so good now, but when I was younger I would rarely if ever drop anything thrown to me no matter how awkward it was.

I've noticed over the years that right handers don't cope well with having to use their left hand. Me. I prefer my left, but can handle anything right handed.

I'm a right-hander, pretty much the only time I use my left hand is to hold my PV while driving (automatic car!)

- nearly same here - can't do everything with the right hand - but a lot - cutting with a knife in the right hand is a no no - as experience showed - outch do you think that was the catholic school - went to one as well - though apart from the having to write with the right hand it was a good and nice school

left, also forced to use right hand when at primary school, caused confusion with directions, right is the hand you write with and the other is left, still have to think about that. Us lefties are supposed to be more artistic i've heard, now quite ambidextrous but still favour the left, NB: all safecrackers are called Lefty!
