Smaller spring appears to be retaining the ?retaining? pin and turns do that the mid point (two wire points) are against the pin. When it turns, you may find the pin raises which makes the button catch... at least I think that is what's happening. This is based on my Hcigar copper nemesis.

As recommended by a friend, I use 3 N35 magnets in mine. Two stuck together at the bottom and one opposing. Less sag that way.

I had a reply from Guys Magnets today - they have looked into my N45 enquiry, have sought pricing, purchased (I think) and plan on selling them in a couple of months (slow boat).
