I would like to start by saying a big thank you to everyone who reads these posts, your advice has been very useful and everyone has been really friendly! I am basically looking for answers to a few newbie questions. I have managed to establish a lot so far about my kit, sadly the main point I have learned is that I should have probably bought another kit to begin with... Nonetheless it has stopped me smoking so I am not too fussed at this point. Firstly, my kit is a Socialites tank kit. Thanks to some good advice I wont ever be buying anything from them again. I was wondering, does anyone know details about the ego style battery that comes with the pack? What is the output and capacity of the battery. Secondly, I am looking for new clearos but can't decide between iClear16's or Kanger Evods? I know the difference between TCC and BCC but what difference will this actually make to my vape? Thirdly, I am looking for a more discreet battery to take out and about, any suggestions would be most welcome. This will only really be used for the duration of an 8 hour shift at work with little breaks to use it so it doesn't need a long lifespan, just needs to fit in my pocket more snugly. Lastly, if I was looking for a bigger battery for home use a little later on, what would be best and why? Any help with even one of these questions would be great. If you have read this far then well done

Ok so the evod kit would be good for taking to work, basically it boils dlwn to tje type of vape you want. Evod is a single coil at the bottom of the tank, giving a cooler vape but i found it compromised flavour iclear16 is dual coil at the top, giving a warmer more flavourfull vape but can be juice thirsty Both will fit on the ego style battery supplied in the evod kit
second you could consider a variable voltage battery like an ego twist or vision spinner, tjese will allow you to set the vape to your preference and give a more satisfying vape. Both the iclear16 and Evod will fit this.
for home use I would look at at MVP v2 its a box type mod with variable voltafe and variable wattage it comes with 2 iclear16s and can be bought from myepack for £35 I think. The imbuilt battery will last days and it can also be used to charge your phone. It charges via a micro usb cable supplied. With this your atomiser/tank chkices are unlimited
hope this help steve

The Socialite kit has a 650 mah battery which will start out at 4.2 volts fully charged and gradually fade to about 3.5 volts as it discharges.

Thanks guys, very helpful! @oneday, do you know of a smaller and more discreet battery? Been looking but finding it hard to tell of the actual dimensions of the battery are smaller than a 650 or just the capacity itself?

I have used both evods and iclear16's, I dont know if i really have a preference apart from if i am using a flavour that i know i might just one tank full of i may use an evod just because i can recoil that. Mini protanks are great too. As for batteries as suggested above a vision spinner would be a great set up, i found it made a huge difference to my vaping as i was able to have more control of the amount of throat hit or vapour that i wished to have a different points of the day. If you want something bigger at home the MVP is a great battery with the long battery life, vv/ vw and the resistance reader which is great if you want to start making your own coils.I found the switch from an ego style battery to the box mod much easier than i thought i would, looks huge in photos but actually fits very nicely in your hand. Hope you find a set up that works well for you

Hi mikey, the only 2 ego batteries smaller than the 650mah ones are; 350mAh (56mm long) or 450mAh (62mm long)Most of the UK vendors charge about 8 or 9 quid each for these but if you have the patience you can get them from China a lot cheaper (about £2.50) 350mAh Link450mAh LinkAny smaller than that and you're looking at a cig-a-like really Here's a pic of a 350mAh ego + Evod, which I still use for out and about sometimes

Adam78, the 350 looks perfect - exactly what I was looking for! Did you order yours from china yourself and, of so, how long did it take to arrive?

Yes mate I got 10 from FastTech not long after I started vaping and they're still working fine it only took about 10 days but it can take a bit longer sometimes. They have Evods, Evod coil heads and a zillion and 1 other vaping bits & bobs too btw

my order from fasttech took just a bit over 3 weeks - iclear or evod is also a matter of taste - I personally prefer the evod - heard there is an evod 2 now - would recommend to buy an original one - I bought from fast tech a mini protank type - it's ok but not as good as the real thing myepack sells the evods for £ 3.49 - and I guess the evods are better if you use tank cracking juices like banana for at home : mvp or vtr - both great

Fasttech do the kanger protank mini 2 now as well Clivia £7.03 these are very good. I have 2 on order despatched on the 5th so a couple of more days. I would recommend the Itaste vv/vw as well mickeyvape they are restocking at the moment on fasttech but if you are in no rush these two are all I use www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10004594/1363600 www.fasttech.com/products/1640100 as Clivia said expect about a 3 week wait

Or else you can get a mod Like this one - okay so there's a lot of outlay (some 18350 batteries don't fit it) and you'll need a nitecore charger so maybe too expensive for your scottishness. But is telescopic so takes the bigger batteries and is mod destroyer proof But will last you at work and at home with an evod/protank/davide Or else if you just want something that will fit in your hand for work then this - www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=170 but for the best throat hit you need dual coil smok cartos which are cheapest from china www.healthcabin.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7777. Again needs wee 18350 batteries
