Aerotank Cotton wick tube.

Came up with an idea for a cotton tube wick for the Areotank, been using it only 1 1/2 days so far but it works very very well so thought i'd make a little guide to show what I did. Hope you try it and like it as much as I do.

How do you find the vape compared with the coils that came with it? never seen a coil like that before

I find it much better than the standard ones, also after rebuilding them myself I had a little trouble with gurgling/flooding so this idea came to mind.

Going to give this a go tomorrow, ive struggled building the heads the conventional way and had the same floody leaky mess. As a result my aerotank has been left untouched for a week or so. Will report back when ive had a go

Just make sure you have the start of the cotton strip trapped between to top leg and the coil to isolate them, you don't want the leg touching the coil as it comes down really.

Once one of my heads go dead on my aerotank ( only got it yesterday) i will give this a try. i assume that i dont do anything different if i just use kanthal?

Yes it will work just the same but be a higher resistance if you use just Kanthal.

It will work fine Steve but as I said above it will be a higher resistance that's all.

Just done it, yes I said id do it tommorw but im impatient lol, secomd attempt, I had a short on the first. I now have a 1.5 ohm coil in it the draws alittle tight mainly because my cottons abit of a mess. But its working great.

Mev maybe worth adding to the original post that the cotton wool is to be used abit more sparingly than first thought as it will swell when saturated with juice resulting in very restricted airflow

Nice one Mev .. a bit like a mini-carto inside a carto tank ... I have bookmarked this and will give it a go with the next evod head that my granddaughter asks me to recoil for her.
