You are right djs, I got off lightly. I wasn't really too bothered about the cost nor having a go at the shop really. I've an idea they were neither smokers, ex-smokers or vapers. It's just that I could easily have failed due to the poor start and it would be sad to think others might.

chrisy - a warm welcome from me too - you seem to have started in a considered and sensible way, here's to many more months and years of happy vaping!
You mentioned that you are soon off abroad. There is a growing network of vaping shops scattered around the globe, don't forget that there might be one near your destination (unless you are heading for the desert or deepest arctic places).
If you wish to divulge where you are heading for (and we will quite understand if you would rather keep this to yourself! - spy work, pointing guns at people, or dodging the taxman LOL) we might be able to point you towards your nearest vape store!

Thanks for the offer of help chykensa. I'm off to France for no other reason than better weather. It seems there are plenty of e-cig shops springing up in larger towns but generally dearer than UK. Same with the online offerings. It might even be cheaper to order from the UK and pay extra shipping charges. I have an idea the local Tabac's are starting to stock stuff but likely to be cigalikes at top price. It will be interesting to see. I'm well stocked up now but thanks for the thought.
