I am talking about batteries when on charge. Is it normal they should get very hot after just 1.5 hours of charging. It concerns me a bit.

It's normal for batteries to get warm, but not 'very hot'
What type of batteries are they, and what charger?

Warm is a good sign, hot is always a worry (unless they are in direct, bright sunlight, or somewhere else That may cause the heat to build up)

They are Ego T batteries with a wall charger. It was not completely discharged, but decided to "top it up".

It shouldn't make a difference whether its a full or a partial charge. Is it just one of the batteries that's getting hot?

I have five and most of them get warm to hot, but one in particular gets very hot.

I'm no expert on batteries but I'd be tempted to put that one aside for now and use one of the others

If it was mine I would stop using the hot one just in case. Better safe than sorry

I have a problem with 'hot' batteries. Iwas just vaping on my Rainbow eGo Twist at 4.3v with an evod @ 1.8ohms and the blasted thing got so hot I couldn't even touch it. This is not the first time this has occurred but then it was a Vision Spinner. Everything happens for a reason but what is the reasoning behind this ?

A 1.8 atty at 4.3 volts will equate to about 10 watts which will get the atty pretty warm. The heat from the atty will transfer to the battery too, but it shouldn't be too hot to handle

Too hot to touch is the vaping equivalent to a red flashing light and claxon. Don't use it again unless you can identify and fix the problem.
