Looking at getting a Magneto from FT need advice.

Due to a lack of funds £25 I have been looking around for a good mod and for the price range the Smoktech Magneto comes in at quite a good buy.

Now I am looking at buying one from Fasttech (http://www.fasttech.com/product/1608400-authentic-smoktech-magneto-mechanical-mod) which works out at around £22 delivered.

Now never having ordered from FT will it be an origanl one and not a clone ? as the advert says Authentic Smoktech Magneto Mechanical Mod how honest is FT?

I am not bothered about the wait as I have waited 6 weeks before as I ordered loads of stuff from the far east b 4.

catfish, when FT advertise something as ''Authentic''...it indeed, is authentic. If it says 'Magneto style mechanical mod' or along those lines then, thats when it is a clone.

catfish the smoktech Magneto is indeed the genuine article as I got mine from FT.

I want one. Trouble is, I don't use 18350 mode anything.

I just don't like the telescopic look....

I removed the telescopic mech in my basket today before clicking "buy" on a load of random "spares".

I have a genuine one ... FT also do a clone one .... If you don't mind the broken lines of a telescopic mod they are a really solid and versatile mod ... I prefer my nemesis clone for looks but for reliability you can't beat the magneto...
Just 2 things to bear in mind

1. You can't use a kick in 18650 mode ... Tubes not long enough
2. Make sure you keep the brass locking rings tightened ... If they come loose as my did in my pocket once , it will turn on as it becomes live... The first I knew of it was the pungent smell of vanilla and a red hot lump of metal in my pocket

Yep I agree on the telescopic thing but what can you buy for sub £25 which has had good reviews and not a clone in a 18650 ?

Or, you could reverse the thought process.

Why buy smok when £15-£20 buys a clone made by a half decent company?

There are no wrongs or rights, just what seem to make sense.

catfish the Launcher is a good MOD and only £12.43.

Good threads, nice weight and looks good with an 18500 battery with a kick.

I agree with@djsvapour..... Without getting into the whole moral maze of the clone thing again ...there are some very well made lovely looking , very versatile clones out there for around £20...
Nemesis / king / carvella / chi.... Etc etc .... Unlike atomisers they are all just metal tubes with a switch and a few differences in detail

Don't forget to budget for batteries and a charger. And don't skimp on either.
Can be dangerous.

I know about the battery and charger going to get a i4 and efest high drain batts but wont need them for a while if I go ahead and order from FT

Looks exactly the same as the genuine Smok Magneto I bought elsewhere.

I think the build quality and magnetic switch action is up there with mods costing a lot more, I'd go for it at that price!

All the battery and charger advice is sound and I'm sure well meant, but is as rellavent to a £7.50 mod as well as one costing hundreds of pounds.

PS, I'm a bit of a Fasttech fan, as long as you use a little caution when buying and don't mind the wait for delivery, normally under 3 weeks for me, I think their great and offer brilliant value for money.

Focalecig are well worth a look too ... They sell the same stuff but delivery is half the time
