Have you ruled out the clearo by checking with a multimeter that you are getting power at the pipe's 510 connector?

I'm thinking one of the technicians (men LOL) or Super-ShinyShiny is already helping me, I started another thread, trying to get to the bottom of what I really want to know
It did feel hot when he handed it to me, but it's aluminium and he had been holding it for a while, figuring out the fancy 510 connection which is one neither of us had encountered before, it's not that difficult though. It may just have been the heat from his hand, but it was certainly noticeable.
It doesn't heat up now, but then it doesn't do anything now
It bugs me, not understanding the fine details. I have figured out all sorts of stuff since I started vaping, but this one is beyond my ken Could be it was just broke before it even arrived

Could well be possible. Or died in transit. This is why I won't buy mods from fast tech. They generally come dead on arrival and are such a hassle to get a new one from FT or a refund

Have 3 devices we can check ohms etc on, but nothing to check the voltage coming from a battery.
If a clearo works on one device but not on another, then chances are that the device isn't sending voltage. We've tried several batteries, and the one we first used still works fine in another mod.

dragon Have you tried prising up the centre pin? I think as markm said earlier it's a connection problem so your first port of call should be the centre pin.

There is no centre pin, at least not like the ones we are used to. The outside of the 510 connection screws up and down to make the connection whatever size it needs to be. Its a nifty design once you get your head around it. I'm really certain it's not a connection problem, played with that one for ages, assuming it must be.
edit: there is a centre pin but as I said it is a nifty design that allows you to adjust the height of the hole it is in. Its designed to make it very easy indeed to get a connection.

dragon, have a read of THIIS THREAD from ECF where people have the K1000 and what they say about the connector. You might find something useful.

Thanks Des, already found that thread on my own earlier. No one is having the problem we are having, and as they make clear the connection thingy is new, but ultimately very easy.
I think we just got a dud one

Hi dragon, find your post interesting.I also had a problem with my Kamry pipe I got for Xmas.I never used the tank that came with it,instead I stuck on a Nova Clearomiser,it worked fine the first night, but on the second night when I pushed the fire button the button was really hot and the bottom of the pipe bowl was hot,and the clearo would,nt work.I took the top off and took out the battery, and found the spring was sitting all wonky. It had a short.I contacted the Vendor and sent the Pipe back. They phoned me and asked what kind of Tank I had put on to it,and I told them a Nova. They said they had sold 20 of the Kamry pipes, and 2 people had the same problem as me,and they found that the other 2 people had put on a Kanger tank(they did,nt say what type) and it made the pipe have a short like mine. They said they were surprised my had a short with a Vivi Nova.So this has happened a few times with this type of Pipe.Since I got a new replacement I have just used the tank that came with it and not had a problem, but still not happy cause you should manage to stick what you want on it,if its the proper connection.

Its no use to us if it isn't a little flexible Besides, we only bought the actual pipe bit, not the kit, so what did they think we were going to do with it?
