After reading the excellent Super-Shiny DNA20 story and with a shed load of advice from Jason....... here is my micro tale. A grim old Reo Grand purchased from that well known auction site After I did some restoration work Now the conversion work starts. I have removed, from the original Reo, about 2mm. off the thickness of the sides and back along with 4mm. off the base and 4mm off the catch cup at the top.....to save weight and height. I have a total of 24mm height of the aluminium and brass addition at the bottom to house the DNA board and 17 miles of wire The semi finished Reo Grand DNA20, just needs a bit more polishing...........or not, I quite like the idea of having a knock about mod that I do not have to wrap in cotton wool. If this one gets dings and scratches, it does not matter. I could have easily purchased a DNA mod for less than the total costs of this one, but it was all about gaining some experience, It turned out to be a lot of very frustrating fun. The whole reason for doing this was to gain a bit of experience at building a mod. The next project is to build a bottom feeder wooden mod from scratch. My thanks go to Jason for his support and excellent tutorials, I could not have done it without you. Also thanks to turbocad6 over on ECF Reos Mods for my inspiration.

Just as i thought when you was building it with a few snippets of pictures you sent to me i knew straight away then that it is gonna look fantastic and i was right, pure perfection and the finish is to die for. You can just tell by looking at the pictures a lot of work has gone into that and with the end result is well worth it, and to top it all off it's your first built mod Hats of to you Neil Really chuffed for you m8

The finish could do with more work, but as I said, I may just leave it rough. The third photo above was how I finished the first part of the restoration and it was like a mirror..........for about 2 days. Polished Aluminium is so difficult to keep pristine, hence the rough brushed finish of the Reo DNA, scratches don't notice quite as much.

looks awesome and even has space for a bottle of juice in it dumb question but I guess its some sort of dripper setup Its called Squonking... you press the bottle through the hole in the front and it pushes juice up into the attie to saturate the wick/coil, then sucks back the surplus. Its the same flavour as dripping without physically having to drip. So it is as convenient as a normal tank, but with more taste.

looks awesome and even has space for a bottle of juice in it dumb question but I guess its some sort of dripper setup decoy that tube runs up to the atomiser, which when you press on the bottle pushes the liquid up and soaks the coil. Release the bottle and it sucks the excess back through but leaves the coil wet. Then you just press the fire button to vape It's called "SQUONKING" EDIT: Crossed posts with Greigster

It turned out to be a lot of very frustrating fun. This speaks volumes Frustrating.....Hell yeah Fun......Hell yeah Was it worth it.....Hell yeah, nothing better than when it's all finished and to give yourself a pat on the back and say to yourself "I made that" I try to explain this to my OH but it does not compute with her, then again nothing ever does

First DNA squonker I've seen.
Love the idea of creating a true original mod.
Great work, thanks for sharing/inspiring.
