I can imagine that things will be pretty raucous at the camp site, lots of barbecues going and lots of cheap booze being consumed!

I hope the hotel is not too far a wobbly walk back to!

Don't worry Ric, the stuff I drink would eat it's way through a tin so has to be plastic.

Are barbecues allowed on the camp site?

For those camping we must remember the RULES

After all Rules is Rules!

Camping information
Camping is available both the Friday and Saturday night.
Camping was only intended for Saturday, however, due to demand I will make this
available on Friday too.
As such I feel some conditions are necessary in addition to those stipulated by the venue.
• If you are camping on the Friday, you may arrive from 4pm onwards. The committee
need time to prepare before the arrival of any public guests.
• You must not approach vendors who are setting up their pitches.
• Glasses and glass bottles are not permitted. Plastic only please.
• You must not attempt to access any building other than the toilet blocks.
• If you have a vehicle parked in the camping area and need to move it on Saturday
you must inform a committee member or steward of your intention to do so.
• Observe all the conditions listed in the Showground Special Conditions.
• Print the Showground conditions below and bring them with you. Without them you
will not be able to camp. Everyone needs their own copy.

BBQ are allowed, but....

To avoid damage to the grass I'd prefer they're done on the hard standing.

The venue stipulates they must be at least 1 foot clear of the ground, so none of the mini BBQs

Mind you I have to chaperone Perpetua as her Personal Aide so just sticking to one drink is nigh on impossible!
She usually dismisses me at about midnight and slopes off to nightclubs etc with strange men, at least that way I can get a half decent night's sleep!

It's all true . . . and I don't regret a moment of it, other than the banging hangover the next day.
