Caravela batteries - help please!

I'm hoping to take delivery of my FT clone Caravela in the next week or so and am thinking ahead to batteries for the wee beastie. I have an Efest 18650 protected which will do for starters, but ultimately want to use a Kick with it (once I've saved up for one!) and would like to know what batteries you good fol would recommend for the aforementioned mod.
I'm aware that I need something with protection, but also want a battery with some good charge capacity i.e. over 2500mah.
Who would you suggest I buy from (Torchy?) and what should I go for? I should add that I am also eyeing up a Nemesis clone too, and I have a couple of Kayfun clones on the way, so you get the picture I hope . . .

Biggest battery with a kick you'll get in a vela is 18500. I've never seen any over 1600mah.

There is little battery room in the vella clone, if you want to use a kick then you're going to need a flat top 18490 battery and you're probably going to need to grind down the 510 pin/screw in the vella top cap to give a couple more mm of room inside.
I got some M5 grub screws from flea bay and ground them down to different sizes in an attempt to accommodate the batteries I have and still some of them are too big.
If you're going to use a kick then you don't want any protected batteries, you need IMRs
