My eyesight is definitely deteriorating with age (it has been since I was about 10...) so coiling has always been difficult, though investing in a headband mounted magnifying glass - about a fiver - was a big help when winding coils. I can't thread cutting wool through the coil to save my life though. However what works nearly as well and is a darn sight easier is... just drape the wool over the coil! Drip a bit of juice onto it, drape it over, and cut it to size so it doesn't extend too far (this on a Kayfun). Works a treat, probably not as good as a proper threading as it's not touching the whole coil - though you can tease it around the coil outer so it's pretty much covered.
Any other tips for blind berks like me when it comes to coiling?
Also, for taking out those incredibly small screws that are put into fill holes, rub a magnet a few times across your screwdriver... tada, magnetic screwdriver! No more lost screws. I was on screw number 3 before this idea came to me.

To help get cotton wool through your coil, damp it slightly and roll it between finger and thumb (I lick my fingers) - it squidges down into a nice thin point and will fluff up again when you put juice on it.

Some builds work better with the cotton wool around the coil instead of through the middle. Make sure to leave one of yhe ends of the coil clear to get the best vapour production and it will work just the same as putting it through the middle
