Zmax battery help!!!

So the zmax arrived but I have a problem. My 18650 batteries don't seem to fit? I unscrew the bit that extends and it is practically threaded off and can't shut, did I get the wrong ones? I got the effect button top 18650 2000mah from myepack

Did the zmax come with two separate bottom caps of different sizes?

Yes it came with a longer looking one and a shorter one, the longer one was installed

Have you tried your battery with both caps?

I tried again and it seems as though both caps fit but I had to put the battery first unscrew most of the bottom, put the cap on pushing the battery and the screw the telescopic bit back up, not sure I feel ok with that, it is a very tight fit

The shorter of the two caps is for stacking two 18350's With my zmaxv3 I could use pretty much any 18650 including probably the biggest, that being the panasonic 3400mah. Have a good look at the threads because what you are describing shouldn't be the case.

Oops you posted again. I found I never undid my bottom cap at all. I just undid at the middle popped battery in screwed back together. You can feel if it's right or not regards over tightening.

Thanks guys, I am going to try again, just took the small one off to put the big one on and it is hard to get on, just gonna put it down for a mo. Having a bad vape day as my pt3 has been gurgling and flooding all morning and practically cannot vape despite me unscrewing it, cleaning it, loosening it. Bad day indeed

@mrsmac have a cuppa, check the threads everything should thread nice on that mod then order an aerotank not a single gurgle or leak since I've had mine, the design with the airflow base is great.

JayJ and @oneday thanks for chiming in. I have screwed back on the larger base and it is a tight fit but ok. I love the look and idea, I jus think some things were not as I expected. The pt3 was vaping like a champ up until this morning and I was looking forward to the day with it on the zmax. Then the zmax arrives and there is a dirty scratch on the screen, I thought it was a protector but it is the screen itself. And no instruction manual!

Made myself a cuppa and you've saved me tearing out my hair as bubba s awake so no stinky!

All up and running, put the mini pt3 on and it's vaping nice. Shame the pt3 not so good as the whole idea was for an adv with minimal fuss lol

Wish I'd waited, I've ordered a davide this morning to use with my bcc to bdc converter and my aspire heads.

Are you sure? I used my zmax for several days with a manky screen before realising it was a screen protector that needed picking at to remove

@oneday, I don't think so, I've tried a light picking and nothing came up as I do want to scratch it anymore if it is. Lol solved some of my probs, swapped out the protank 3 head for a tall post one only after the mini stopped working!. Will wash out the other head and try that anther time.

I think I need to raise the centre pin but will look on you tube for that.

How on earth do I check the resistance if atty's without firing?

I did not realise my new TZmax had a screen protector on it for about 5 days they are stuck on there pretty well.

Basically you can't. In order to check the resistance of a coil, a current has to be passed through it and the result 'read' by the checking device, whether that's a multimeter or a mod. Set the display to resistance and just touch the button briefly to read your atty resistance
