Dual coil microcoil in Aerotank success

Today I managed to rebuild an Aerotank with dual microcoils and it's amazing. I used 0.25 kanthal on a 3/64 screwdriver with 10 wraps for each coil and came out at 1.3 ohms. Flavour and vapour are much better than the stock coils, really liking this setup. I'm sure probably some of you have already done this, just wanted to share as I'm really pleased with myself.

I completely get that slightly smug feeling, exactly how I felt when I managed to successfully recoil my Nautilus. Well done!

I bought some 2mm ones today.... better go back tomorrow for some smaller ones.

No mate, haven't got any no res wire. Although that may be a better option. Also I think maybe thinner wire like 0.20 may be better as it seems to take longer for the coils to heat up.

0.20 does not make a great microcoil, to thin and fragile.

0.20 does not make a great microcoil, to thin and fragile.

That's the reason I didn't bother trying with 0.20, never could make a good microcoil with it.
