Many moons ago I lived in Market Harborough. I worked in a printing firm in Kettering and so everyday I had to walk to the train station. That involved either passing the Slaughterhouse or going the other road and passing the Crisp Factory.

Now on hot days the smell from both of these places was stomach churningly 'orrible but the slaughterhouse was definitely preferable to the crisp factory.

Now all I need to do is see a packet of crisps, never mind smell them before I start to heave!

You're missing a trick, deep fried mars bars are amazing! Cheese and onion juice can stay in the shop though, that's just pukey!

There are still some Chippies up here that if you ask for a Pizza will get one of those cheap hardly any topping things and throw it in the fryer.  Once cooked they will then ask if you want salt and vinegar on it, lol!

There was a chippy near my friends house and you could take any chocolate bar in and they would deep fry it for you! It was the best chippy. Really want a mars bar now
