I don't know what's the better deal - John Lewis at £7.78 for 48 or ebay - 210 from italy for £33 inc P+P there's about a penny in it per shot LOL I'm getting throught them so ordered the 210 from ebay for £33 even though they are only compatibles but still . I got the blue one on Monday and that's really nice. the orange one is more a kind of 'mother doesn't do strong coffee' one. The blue one isn't 'blow yer brains out' but it's just nice

Does this help Percol Rocket Fuel Coffee is a high-octane dark roasted instant coffee that uniquely gives you a stimulating double hit. First a velvet rush of CAFFEINE rich smoothness. Then a sustained hit of GUARANA - a prized power herb that has stimulated the minds and spirits of Amazonian Indians for centuries. Its special formula means the power comes fast - and lasts. Shipped from the UK to Europe and worldwide door to door. Basic info - Guarana constituents : theobromine, theophyllin, caffeine (7 per cent), saponins, tannins, choline. Guarana (Paullinia cupana) - the seeds are ground to a fine powder, capsules contain 500mg, tablets 350mg. Dosage : x2 Capsules on rising, OR x3 tablets(350mg) spread over a day. How many mg of Guarana are in the product ? Guarana - is traditionally mixed with cassava flour to make a paste then added to a glass of water, or more modern application is adding the powder to a glass of lemonade. Coffee neutralises the effects of many herbs, anyone under going a course of herbal treatment is advised not to drink coffee. It's odd they mix herb with coffee, maybe just marketing psychology ? You could try mix yourself and give to someone who trusts you and don't tell them what it is and then ask them to write down how is the effect ?

Talking of Italy a friend of my late fathers was from Milano, he made it in a metal pot on the cooker, unsure what they are called, sorry. So the coffee and water go inside and you leave it on the cooker, he had brought this with him from Italy he was quite attached to it, he said you can also use it near a camp fire to make coffee. It is metal and similar to an 8 shape in that it is wide at the base then goes narrow then wide at the top , the top and bottom parts separate into two different pieces. It can also be disassembled down into a small size for on the move and that is popular.
You should be able to get this device at a shop or website here selling coffee and tea making supplies, if you like the coffee it makes (strong) it's a way of being able to have coffee when ever there is a heat source or place to make a fire yourself.

Thank you for the name of device. Wiki says they are very good at extracting maximum caffeine from the coffee. I clicked through links from wiki, if they cannot be used because of material of pot it says - Induction hobs you can use "interface disk" for aluminum, copper and glass pots, or there are also stainless steel pots made. Unsure if they cannot be used even on an interface disk ?

I did lots of research on capsule machines when up all night with excitement night before I got the lavazza machine decoy. If it's nespresso you can get refillable capsules on amazon that work out cheaper. Or compatibles. If it's lavazza a modo mio there's an offer on at john lewis right now which is quite good (buy 2 boxes get one free) - though best go online and get delivered to your local store (free) or there's tesco direct for a quite mild one (£3 for 16 capsules) Otherwise go on youtube and find out how to make your own for the machine your ma has. Most of these methods just use filter papers you can get from the supermarket cheap as chips . Bit messy (and I've done it with the lavazza machine and conclude it 'aint worth it) but generally worth it when with the lower end machines you are paying upto £4+ for 8 capsules Also you don't need to have milk in with the capsules. Get a coffee whisk (I got a bodum whisk on offer from currys - cost about £4 - also handy for mixing e-liquid) or there's aerolatte (good to google) which will be about £10 (not much more)...bung your mug of milk (about 1/4- 1/3) in the microwave for about 40-50secs (depending on milk used 800w microwave) and then whisk to a nice milky froth.... The lavazza machines are the only capsules machines that come with frothing wand but still.....I like it... Hope that helps decoyJane
