Just some basic info and background.... I've been vaping for 4 weeks after a health scare all due to my smoking... I'm using a new inhaler for the health scare... I'm experiencing nose bleeds (just small ones) on a daily basis and am getting a little bit concerned now!! I'm using a 24mg e juice which is sposed to be just VG... Anyone else experienced this??

Never heard of this sort of problem due to vaping ... I would suspect you new inhaler could be the culprit

I've heard that this can be from stopping smoking and a side affect that can last a few weeks due to the increased blood flow stopping has. Nothing to do with vaping would be happening anyway and lasts from a few days to a few weeks while your body adjusts.

Welcome to you winnietyson. I'd also think the inhaler is most likely to be the culprit, but a trip to your GP wouldn't go amiss. Any unusual, irregular bleeding needs a medical look see IMO.

+1 for Perpetua's post above - go see your GP, it may be nothing, it may be due to you having given up tobacco. Either way, would be good to know, especially bleeding in your head region.

Hello winnietyson
Just did a quick google search for "nose bleeds ecig" and it seems a few people out there have suffered from them, it may or may not have something to do with the PG in your juices, the people in this Reddit link click me seemed to have some success by staying hydrated and going for high VG ratio juices, also line the inside of your nose with Vaseline to prevent drying, good luck and let us know how you get on

winnietyson. Warm welcome . So pleased you have decided to join our forum, I am sure you will benefit from all the advice given on here. If you have ANY questions at all please just ASK and you will get a reply, no question is too silly we all had to learn from scratch. Please keep us informed of the outcome after you have seen your Doctor about your nose bleeds. As an aside, I think 24mg may be a big too strong for a beginner, try coming down a bit to lower mg and see if it helps .

Greetings and to AAEC winnietysonAs other folks say, get yourself to your GP. In the meantime, have a look at the instructional leaflet that came with your inhaler, specifically the section relating to potential side effects.

I'm not looking for an argument here but, why might 24mg be too strong for a beginner? We don't know what brand or how many cigs she smoked a day. I've commented on this in a shop when they've asked a newbie how many cigs they smoke then say "you'll need xx amount of mg liquid" They never enquire what brand they smoke. Surely, if I smoked 20 capstan full strength a day, I'd need more nicotine than if I used silk cut ultra lights?

Yeah its the other way round, you start off high like 24mg and reduce the nicotine ideally to zero

I don't know about the 24mg question. I used 24mg in cig-a-likes and it barely helped. I dropped to 18mg the day I got my Riva Deluxe Kit. (ooh, get me.... "deluxe"... ) Somebody (on another forum) was trying to advise a 30-a-day Mayfair smoker (a lady from the UK...sure to register on here now...) that 12mg was the same as a cigarette. I had to bite my tongue. 24mg is powerful i.m.o. but maybe justified apart from the 10 Silk Cut ex-smoker....

Just for your information I was a 20+ roll up smoker and actually started on 18mg but I had a lot of problems with sleeping so upped the level and it's helping that way it's just the nose bleeds that are worrisome!! I have an app with the nurse practitioner on Tue
