@djs there's no shame in that, although I understand the frustration from times before and in all likelihood, times yo come. arron, I'm truly surprised by the lack of difference you find between the kfl and the mt3. I think, however, shinitus (not sure about the y) is all about hunting that grail of the prefect vape, and to be honest, I think that is all, unless the person is a collector, which for me is a little weird. Unfortunately, that hunt for the grail is inevitably fruitless. No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted

tbh i was pretty lucky and found this forum early on so my 1st proper starter kit was a pro tank 3 and vv3 (not including the 1st 2 garage buys to get me throw work) but i have since been struck with shinyitus mostly brought on by discodes and his cheap finds (2nd protank 3 and the nemi) and a cheap vamo 5 from slow tech easier to swap batts in than walking about with a power pack plugged in to vv3 when it runs out Then we move on to enjay and his coiling thread ud agi rebuildable is now in my collection and cant see a kafun being far behind Whats next some more batts for nemi and vamo and prob whatever one of your wounderfull members posts up at to good a price to misss have i noticed a diff yes and no vamo and vv3 are about the same but you cant swap batts in vv3 are they better than the standard ego batts and cig a likes hell yer on a side note anyone elces vv3 wobbly at the topThink this was a know problem with the early VV3's as they only had one rivet at the back so the head became loose over time. I have had a couple of them and they both ended up wobbly, in fact the bottom came off one of them when I unplugged the charger and had to be glued back on ... both still work perfect but the wobble annoyed me and just use them as backup's now . The newer version I got last week is riveted on 3 sides at the top and has one at the bottom so it cant happen now .... but the buttons don't half rattle compared to the old ones

Got to agree with most of the posts above ... everyone seems to be looking for the holy grail but most of us end up finding it in mid range kit.
I must have spent close to a grand on various vaping gear over the last 18 months following the latest mods and atties, mixing kit, concentrates etc.
A lot of it has been passed on or is sitting in drawers etc some of it has not even been used!!! .... It has been a great learning curve and I don't grudge a penny as it was still cheaper than the stinkies and I now have enough kit to last for years.
For now I have found my ideal setup and it is pretty bog standard
VTR with iClear 30s for general use and iTaste VV3 with iClear 16 for more discrete vaping ... both go with me everywhere and TBH can't see that changing for a while to come

I have no doubt that many of the high end mods give a more consistent vape but bang for buck I can't fault my set up .... If I go out and loose my VV3 it's a PITA but drop a Provari etc you would be absolutely gutted.
I have several mates that started on Ego's with CE4's and the most adventurous they have got is buying an Evod for the top but it does it for them and that's great cause they are off the stinkies.

This thread is just about the law of diminishing returns. Same as it ever was!

At the moment Clivia i am likeing the coolfire 1 and the iclear 30s two days use from an 18650 battery and the iclear 30s is just so different from the protank coil set up. And your right the most important thing is the tank/clearo ontop but a good power source helps to drive it. you can take one juice put it in say a kayfun/protank 3/iclear 30s/mini davide and you will have a different flavour from each one that's why we can only give our oppinions on juice. bread of heaven in me drippa is not bad, in me protank 3 it is rank. why? i dont know.

bread of heaven in me drippa is not bad, in me protank 3 it is rank. why? i dont know. And I think you might just have nailed it there... Perhaps the true question is the formula between juice and device / set-up. Why Spotted Dick is better with cotton than silica and why Snake Oil is the reverse. Or, I hear, why tobacco's are better with steel mesh than silica whereas fruits can't abide steel mesh. Or why Vampire Vapes Cherry is better in an Aqua (cotton) or iClear30S than in a Kayfun (cotton) or Protank (roughly matching coil resistance) And how much external factors (what I had for supper, phase of moon, type of dream my of Labrador snoozing behind me is having, etc.) Way too many variables, I fear... And thus it's about whatever works in the moment.
