Hi I've just bought a futura dna20. But to be honest I don't know too much about them. I know they go up to 20 watts. But will that kinda power not burn the coil. I normally use iclears and protank 3s or the naturevape micro coils. Can anyone advise me the benefits of the DNA 20 devices.
Thanks

There should be a setting there for when you press the fire button itll display the volts that is going through.
i would start at 6 watts and work your way up from there to see where the hotspot for you is .
my norm on nautilis is around 8 watts on the 1.8 ohms coil ,hope this helps.

But will it burn the coil if ur up near the 20 watts? yeh itll fry it ,unjuiced wick very very quickly. tbo if your only going to be using those typs of tanks theres no difference between a ego bat, provari or a dna 30, Everyone is getting this strange hyp that DNA s make your vape much better and it does "Only" when you are using higher ohms coils then the dna chip kicks in and give it more volts than your ego or provari would. Sub ohms vapers use the lowest ohm coil they can make then "because its unregulate"(more unsafe) they use a mech mod for using a 4.2 volt battery for a more intense vape. Between 1 and 3 ohms it dosent really matter what you use ego/provari/dna/zmax ect they are all regulated devices and have there limits top and bottom of the volts they put out. DNAs come into there own after 3 ohms its regulated but will give extra volts that others cant (including the provari) this the big plus about the DNA the power it can give whilst regulated and (safe) .If someone has a 20 or 30 watt dna wrap a 3.3 ohms coil and rock it at 20 or 30 watts ....youll be sub ohm ing the safe way .

Correct me if I am wrong but anyone vaping a 3.3 ohm coil is not sub ohming in anyway , sub ohming refers to wrapping coils below 1 ohm Edit just checked DNA30 is for resistances between .5 & 3.0 ohms

as like sub ohming , ok put a 3 ohms coil on and use the full 20 or 30 watts through it. so say 0.5 ohms at 4.1 volts unregulated to a 3 ohms at say 8 volts or even 7 ...same thing as what the sub ohmers doing but this is (regulated)
hehe i know what sub ohms are lol

Hi xtc263 As said before start at 6w and turn it up, you'll soon find your sweet spot. On a coil of that size you will fry before you get anywhere near 20w. On a 2 ohm coil about 8 should be about right. I am vaping a 1.3 ohm at 12 watts. You'll have to make your coils at .7/.8 ohm to get up to 20w. I advise you to read up on ohms law, there is a good table here- thevaperstable.com/ecig-volts-watts-ohms/It shows the safe vaping range of different sized coils. I am sure it's been threaded here, but I couldn't find it. Good luck.

Thanks for all the advice guys. So its better if I use 3 ohm coils then? I'm a big girl when it comes to the technical side of Vaping devices

premade wicks and coils wont cope with high watt settings, if you want to use the top end settings on any DNA device you will need to improve the wicking. That normally means making your own wick and coil on a rebuildable - the easiest thing to get working well would be a rebuildable dripper as you supply the juice as its needed.

The point of the DNA20 is it can do things other basic mods cannot do due to it's wattage, it is kinda based on sub ohm-ing (not as much as the DNA30 though so read specs). Have a look here: Clicky
