fingerprint tree

My daughter is getting married on the 3rd of May she asked if i could make her a fingerprint tree, never heard of them before but seems quite a good idea once she explained that it is a version of a guest register, guests ink their finger and "leaf" the tree, so i had a go at a bit of painting to see what i could come up with, so here is my first attempt...



needs to be finished off with names and date etc and be approved
just going to bed just realised the time work in the morning catch you all later.

I was putting some finishing touches to my speech yesterday, it's both an exciting time and nervous time!

Are you doing a Father of the Bride speech?

thanks for all your kind comments, DiscoDes luckily i am to be spared this time (it's my daughters second wedding) I embarrassed her enough first time, tales of her as a child wanting Scottish chickens as she liked Scotch eggs etc. etc., hope it all goes well for your daughters big day, and remember no story is ever too embarrassing for a fathers speech

What an original and creative Idea.
Absolutley love it, But a thought from the Victor Mildrew part of me is saying Ink, youngsters and beautifull white bridal gown?????

If it gets approved for use, then i shall try to get some pics of the completed article, though i make no promises as i intend to be "drinking at the time", already getting in trouble with the good lady Wife for saying i'm taking my fishing rod as the hotel is near the beach

Why not? What would your good lady prefer? you going fishing or getting plastered and dancing as only a Dad can at these functions.

charon, i can't claim any originality for the idea my daughter requested it and having a look on the interweb search thingy there are loads, as for children, ink and white dress i must admit the thought did cross my mind too,

ausfost - as I liked this idea so much I spoke about it with a colleague - they had one for their daughters weeding last year and used different coloured ink  - must look great
