Copying a video to pc

Can anyone advise me how I can download a youtube vid to my laptop?
(Nuffin dodgy or some weirdo blowing vape rings out of his unfeasibly long todger! Just the clip of the old dear dancing on last weeks Britain's got talent, to show some residents in a rest home without internet)

The last "Trusted" software I downloaded for that purpose totally buggered my pc & I had to re-install windows......so be careful.

Thanks Chris, I downloaded Super-Shiny 's But I've still not sussed out what I should do.. Did you try another after your re-install?

This is what i use link
If you go with this.
Create a new folder on your desktop and call it something like 'Youtube Downloads'.
install program.
load program
go to options along the top
configuration
click on the downloads tab and in the folder for converted files, browse to the 'Youtube Downloads' folder. this way all the downloads will be in this folder.
click ok.

go to youtube, find what u like, right click on the URL (the www...... bit) and it will be automatically pasted into vdownloader
before u click download, you can select what output format u want, eg. Ipad, mobile, AVI, DVD etc.....

its really easy to use

Thanks for that ^^^ jcol seemed just the sort of instructions I was hoping for! Unfortunately the download bit didn't, and up popped an offer to buy for $39 Is that to be expected? I was hoping for something a bit more free costaffective

It is free, you just have to select the basic one, its the plus/pro version you have to pay for

use this and then either pop on USB drive or just store it to file on lappy use it all the time also to make mp3 cds for work---completely free even has film converter for mobiles to ,

install free studio then click on Youtube button there all in there just case of copy and paste yotube link in and its done[ make a new folder on desktop, in pop up at top go to options and redirect output to it]



on install decline all the offers i think this one has it but maybe not

"videoGET" - software it will rip a wide variety of websites video contents easily, including youtube.

If you use google chrome you can get an extension that puts the download video option in various bitrates right below the video.

mandel-design.xf.cz/Chrome-Youtube-Downloader/

You have to manually add the extension to chrome. Easily the best I have used.
