Need help guys. I got a futura dna20 mod. While trying to use it at 16 watts it kept reading check battery. My silly husband said try two batteries as its not getting enough power. So I did. I know stupid. There was a spark and now it's not working. Can it be fixed replaced or is it for the bin???

My silly husband said try two batteries as its not getting enough power. Do you mean try two batteries...i.e batteries stacked on top of each other? Don't think the DNA20's and 30's can take stacked batteries...info for the DNA20 chip: Battery: A single cell rechargeable lithium chemistry battery is recommended. Either a lithium ion or a lithium polymer type can be used. Any battery used should be rated for a MINIMUM of 7 amps continuous discharge current. High C rated lithium polymer or IMR cylindrical cells are strongly preferred.

check battery is to say battery needs recharging
I would fully charge a single battery then try that, if it doesn't work you may have fried chip by using 2 batteries
Input Voltage 3.2 Volts min 4.3 Volts max so my guess you stacked 2 batts putting anywhere between 6-8.4 volts so more than likely fried chip

Miscommunication on both our parts. I assumed as u can stack batteries in a vamo it wud be ok. My husband is quite good with electronics. He's gonna open it tonight and see wat has been damaged. If it's just the DNA chip can the DNA20 chip be replaced with a new one?

If it's just the DNA chip can the DNA20 chip be replaced with a new one? I would say 99% it's the chip as it's the only thing that can really go wrong electrical side of things anyway, it got put in there so it can come out and be replaced.

Ok cheers. Hubby says he shud be able to fix it ok Will more than likely need a new chip unless he really knows his stuff and can fix it, can get one here: www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/DNA20DI would of recommended the DNA30 Chip as it is almost the same price as the DNA20 chip but if the Futura mod is fitted with fuses aswell than you can't use the DNA30 chip as that requires different fuses compared to the DNA20 chip.
