Hi everyone, I just got my starter kit from alchemists cupboard and mixed up a batch of cappella sstrawberries and cream and a batch of cherry cola both 50/50. Its my first venture into mixing so how long should I let them steep? Both are smelling great and I can't wait to taste. Thanks

hi and welcome GeRs - well the longer the better - would say at least a week - maybe a bit less for the cherry cola

Hi Gers and Welcome. As clivia has said and shake the bottle now and again so ingredients can blend faster

I'd say the same as Clivia. What percentage did you mix the Strawberries & Cream at out of interest? Welcome to you.

Thanks, I was thinking it would take about a week. Will have to make do with pure mixed till then. I mixed the strawberries and cream at 20% and the cherry cola at 15% both 18mg nic. Should I be looking for any change in colour?

Yes . . . most juices tend to darken as they steep GeRs, how much depends on how long you leave them. Some fresh mixed Vanilla Custard varieties: To some well steeped Vanilla Custard:

Thanks Perpetua the mixes are pretty clear compared to your vc, is that normal or did I do something wrong with the mixing?

Depends on the flavourings as well GeRs, some can be almost colourless when you first mix them and the camera tends to show them a little darker than they are in reality . . . Strawberries & Cream is a very pale straw if I remember. You've not done anything wrong.

Thanks for the tips. Can't wait till the steeping is done and I can try it. Is there any mixes that don't need any steeping?

Red Astaire from t-juice need no steeping I think a few others of their need little or no steeping but I'm not sure which ones. I think most fruits only take a few days desserts a few weeks tobacco a month or there abouts oh mints and menthols are good from the start.
