And that's with them being checked multiple times a day & two month old ads being moved to completed. A nice reminder for all, thanks, Greigster.

I think a lot of people ask too high a price. Common items won't sell quickly unless they are a lot cheaper than buying new. Did my first sale on the classifieds last week and it was sold in minutes because I priced it right. The only items that will command a high price are those that are no longer in production or have a waiting list for new. Would I pay £17.99 for an extension cap for my black Provari OneDay? No. If I wanted one I might pay a tenner

No. If I wanted one I might pay a tenner I wouldn't expect someone to pay £17.99 plus several pounds postage - that's what a new shop-bought one would cost. The one you're referring to which I'm selling is brand new and is going for £15 delivered. I actually resent the implication that I'm selling stuff which is over priced. I have sold several items recently to happy buyers.

OneDay When selling stuff we price it according to how desperate we are to sell it. The stuff I sold was not going to be used by me so I priced it cheaply to sell fast. I see a lot of items in the Classifieds and think I wouldn't pay that. I can only assume that the sellers of unsold items are not as desperate to sell as I was. Don't take my comments personally. You had posted that your items were unsold so I had a look and chose the only thing that I might have bought and gave the price I would have been prepared to pay. I naively thought that might be helpful. I hope you get what you want for what you are selling.

I don't really think it needs splitting , sorry to but in, I like browsing through it all, and I think spilitting it would limit the amount of people who would look sometimes it is only when you read an add that you realise that you want it, or you can afford it, or you have those items to trade.
However what about if after a month the posts get moved to completed by mods, if the seller wants to re-list then they can do. This sounds good to me.
Regarding how much people are asking, well an item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it if it above my budget I move on. I sell cheap, but I don't expect everyone to.

from my IMO,. its totally up to the seller to quote his/her wanted price, if it doesn't shift quick, most people lower until sold. Seems a sensible way to deal with sales? after all - as a buyer, you decide if you are happy to pay 1st offered price or play a waiting game and chose to be 'maybe' pipped at the post? depends how much you want an item.... It's as simple as that
