Lovin' the Aerotank bases on my PT-IIs so far, but have come across a slightly unfortunate instance with them.... middle of last week, the airflow ring got jammed right up the top of it's thread. I had to put the base in a vice to free it up, but in doing so the two halves of the base unscrewed from each other Now, that thread has become a bit loose, and on occasion, if you're not careful, you can inadvertently begin to unscrew the two halves when removing the tank from your mod. The other effect is that the coil heads can work loose, so getting some juice leaking past the coil head into the base, which obviously leads to some gurgling and a need to clean it out.. Not a major issue, but I'm popping this up here just for info as the Aerotank bases are getting popular with many PT users that's 'Jack on a Loctite hunt in the workshop tomorrow then

My two Aerotank bases arrived from China with the rings jammed at the top of their threads. Swearing at them did nothing. I don't have a vice, but I do have a bin, so I threw them in that.

I emailed Focalecig and told them about it and they replied asking me to send them a video of the bases not working.

Why do they always ask for videos - pix are just as good...... apart from that you can't make an inanimate object move!
