stupid question 1: if i'm using a kick on a mod, is it correct it offers me protection?....... Batteries are the bane of my life, that and ohms law......Yes and no, the stop you over-discharging like protected batteries do, which is what most people mean by protection.

I look for AW IMR or Efest IMR on my batteries, in this link you can see that Short form : IMR batteries are inherently safer than others, but will stop taking charge sooner. I just had an Efest IMR 18650 pack up on me, but that was after a good year's use. Not bad for a tenner. A lot of cells marketed as IMR are not "true IMR" and you should not rely on them being safe to over charged.
