mAh - is short for Milli Amp Hours A milli Amp is 1/1000th of an Amp which is the unit of electrical current therefore 2000mAh is 2 amps The h is for HOUR So 2000 mAh means the battery can supply 2000 milliamps for 1 hour or conversely 1 milliamp for 2000 hours When talking about batteries, think of them like a petrol tank so a 2000 mAh battery holds twice as much as a 1000 mAh battery. So a 1000 mAh battery can supply 1 amp for 1 hour a 2000 mAh batter can supply 1 amp for 2 hours a 3000 mAh batter can supply 1 amp for 3 hours. I'll stop there, see if you can get your head around this then ask another question.

mAh = mili-Amp-hour = one thousandth of an Amp-hour. 1000 mAh = 1 Ah and means that the battery can give one amp for one hour. This is the units used to show the batteries capacity.
The Sony vs Efest, if your not using low Ohms you don't need to worry.

It does not mean that the power has to be taken at 1 Amp, 3000 mAh = 1 A for 3 hours = 1.5 A for 2 hours = 3 A for 1 hour = 0.5 A for 6 hours, no battery performs exactly like that, but that is what the mAh rating means.

thanks a lot guys - understood - I don't use low ohms - anything between 1.7 and 2.2 - so I should be fine with the efest

I can vape for nearly two days with a 1 ohm coil using a sony but can barely manage one day with the efests.

what are actually the best batteries and where could I get them from - any advice highly appreciated
as I have now 3 mods that need batteries - I am trying to get the best ones for them - I don't mind to spend a bit more money on them as long as they are good and safe - at the moment I use efest and torchy - read that the sony ones are really good - but could only see 18650 sony ones
thanks

all 3 sizes enjay 18650 -18500 and 18350 Other than the standard red efests I'm not sure what you get in 350 and 500 size, I just stick with the sony as it lasts forever on a charge and I can use it for seriously low ohms without worry. You could just buy a bunch of the 350's and carry them in a little pack to change as and when you need. yapercaper usually has them in stock, they also had battery boxes last time I looked. Mark seems like a decent guy too.

I agree on the purple ones ronaldo, they don't seem to fair well in any tests I've seen, the red ones seem fine though, just not as long lasting as the sonys
