Anyone know how to do this? Dropped my SID today. Worked fine after. Gone to change the battery and it won't work with any battery besides the one I just took out. I know why, because the pin that sticks out from the control head has been pushed right in when I dropped it. They have a white peace of plastic keeping everything in. I know this because when I last changed the battery it fell out. So I pushed the bloody thing back down flush (the plastic. Not the pin) and now I can't get the damn thing off to pull the pin up. Anyone have any ideas?

You need to get the white washer out, use a jewellers screwdriver.
Or drill a small 1mm hole in it towards the edge and then use the screwdriver or self tapping screw to pull on.
Good Luck!

Managed to get the white bit off. Pulled the pin up and still no life.
Bless. It's served me well. Poor SID was dropped god knows how many times. And kept on going! Today must have been one drop too many!

How about sending it to Ronaldo for spares. That's where my SID is going when it dies. I was expecting Sid to be murdered by me, rather than having an accidental death like yours, but he's been very well behaved this week only one reconnection.

It's probably easily repairable.

Thanks. But no I'm retiring her! I couldn't part with her though. She was my first real mod and I've loved every second.
It's my birthday next week so I'll be using that as an excuse to buy myself something new.
