Well done Sue keep spreadign that word!

Just a tip but maybe go back and speak to him when things are a little quieter, during the day or something. That way he can't run off and try to look busy to avoid you and he might actually listen to what your tryin to tell him.

I can understand his point of view of havign to check with the authoritys rather than take soemone's word in the pub. it is his license that would be on the line if you were inaccurate and he might of been caught out like that before. Perhaps a little more info like Rustys offer will eb the tipping point fo rhim

I had this the other day in a coffee shop. There was one other customer in the shop, on the other side but I thought to myself, "no, I should always be considerate and ask if it's ok". So I asked the barista, tried to explain it to him and he looked partly as if he was worried about putting his job on the line and partly as if I was trying to pull the wool over his eyes or something, he then said no and asked me to take it outside. The woman who was in the shop with my friend and I looked as though she was in a coma and was merely propped up so I doubt she would have noticed but what can you do.

If I'm honest, I pick my battles and would often rather go outside to vape now than get raised eyebrows and potential arguments over the legality of it all. It's still bloody annoying though!

Unless it's raining, there is still something quite nice about popping outside into the cold to get some fresh air and your nicotine fix. It's often part of the old ritual, especially seeing as I never smoked 'normal' cigs inside anyway.
