hummmm might be an idea to use a cheap clone for the batt tubes in case anything go wrong so the batt vents downward as they only a plastic case
cool idea for home use
maybe 2 16500 bats in parallel might be worth considering if the 18650 is to wide to fit
merc trucks use some diddy trip fuses
the hardest part is going to be getting the batts to fit in such a small place(and cheapest parst wize) so idd prob start with trying to work out that part 1st

I was thinking about buying one of each and opening them up I'm sure someone I know on here has or had one of the nes dna's so waiting on what he recommends battery wise I want something abit different and try and make myself instead of buying

Think the guy in the us that's selling them ony uses a 2000mah batt in the nes so guessing 18650 is out of the question

Anyone know if you have to use protected batteries with dna like imr? IMR are not generally protected as they don't need it, for standard batteries (not LiPo) Evolv require you to only use IMR high drain batteries. IIRC Hana only recommend Panasonic CGR18650CH (10 A) for up to 20 W and Sony VTC3, 4, or 5 (30 A) for all ampages in there 18650 DNA. I don't know what the switches are like in the NES controller, but all the switch lines for the DNA are only logic signals @ 3 V very low amps, so they would take the electrical load.
