Guess what? My BT line which should have been live yesterday is still dead OMG .... Welcome to BT ... Get ready for turmoil what's their excuse? God knows. They were supposed to call me back on my mobile at 1.00pm. They didn't and I couldn't stay in the new property all afternoon waiting as I had other things I needed to do. Can't do anything about it today. May just have to wait until we move in on Saturday so if I dissappear you'll know why!

I have a suspicion that once BT know you have a mobile (not that they have the courtesy to ring when they say they will!!) and as such you have a phone to use for emergencies.... you're not classed as a 'priority' to get your landline sorted!

It doesn't seem to matter even if you are classed as a priority. I was supposed to be "blue flagged" which means I am a medical priority due to being insulin dependant diabetic and a wheelchair user. God help ordinary customers if it takes 4 weeks to get me sorted. And that only happened when I threatened them with Ofcom.

I am finding with more and more big organisations and corporate businesses that customer service is at the bottom of their priorities.
The thing is it makes me happy in a way as it means that I now go to more independent or smaller uk based businesses who actually value you as a customer because to them they NEED return customers to keep the ball rolling. That's when I can but it's not always possible.
Is plus net really Sheffield based? Not part of a corporation?

BT got number 1 spot for bad customer services heres why we left them,do remember if they pop there prices up you can leave with no penalty, but like all 02 found way round it in contract hidden you agree to price rise as contract linked to Rpi index, there looking at closing that loophole off; BT: month 1 Well first 2 weeks-cut us off-reason somehow duplicate contract no contact made they cut it gave us a free month- yeah off broad band not line rental 3months later decided worth extra £5 to have unlimited calls 24/7 Looked at bill on line being billed qtrly- called no problem your monthly pay it will just reduce--phew 12months later bank DD charge failed BT £75 wtf! turns out they cocked up forgot to add extra £5 plus line rental increase and had emailed us uhmmm no! Worked out they had been doing this since August 3 months previous[bill should have been £42 pm] and it had been paid off and they should have only taken £24---no they wanted £135!!!! why its what was left off paying for quatrly ill upfront no were monthly paid-- for next 4 months they cut us off every week only to have argument. Lodged complaint with Ofcom, after loads of arguments that we pay monthly not qtrly finally got through to english gent, someone had changed payment details and we were monthly pay, bang all goes again, row starts again, bear in mind contract in mitts says monthly payment.. Finaly Ofcom replies they see nothing wrong but as a jesture of goodwill they will order BT to pay a £25,at this point you either accept Ofcoms decison ..told em to shove it. Decided to move to Plusnet as from £41 pm it had risen to £58 in 18months,finished nah,we knew contract had 1 month not BT they insisted 4 months was left and want near on £200...told them take us to Court or put in Debt agency and we will see you in Court
So moral if your monthly payment watch your bill and Bank, have met loads of others on net and few friends on having exact same problem.....on other hand you may also be trouble free
