Caravela advice

I've got one of the carvella clones and the battery tube length issue is a real pain in the arse ....I've thrown it in the drawer in disgust ...

This may be a daft question but couldn't we just pop a 1p piece on the neg end between battery and switch ??

Or would that not work ?

the original Caravela comes with 5 different sized centre pins to accommodate different size batteries & help get tanks or atties sitting flush on the mod , the GP telescopic pin solves that problem
