haha, no I'm quite smug about some techy stuff I now know, I do loads of online learning and 'Google IS your friend' but some things vapewise take time to sink in.

If you think about resistance this way it becomes a lot easier to get your head round.
Imagine a bucket full of water, now imagine it has a hole in it, letting the water out.
The bigger the hole, more water comes out, it is less resistant to the water escaping. The smaller the hole, the slower the water pours out, the more resistant it is.
So dual coils, well think of them as two holes, the water will escape twice as fast, So the resistance is half as much as a single hole.

Just ordered kanthal in 25, 28 and 32 gauges... and some 1.5mm and 3mm ekowool. Purely for experimenting with one weekend, see how different setups end up performing! I might still go back to cutting wool at the end of it!

Just think that the thinner the wire the harder it is to squeeze the electrickery through therefore more resistance! Sent from my room by tin can and string perfect explanation

I might still go back to cutting wool at the end of it! Ekowool is really good, it seems thicker than silica for the same diameter though. Don't wrap it too tight and it wicks like a champ

@spikeyfridge Pepperty have a look at this chart i made, it might help a bit (if you want higher ohms than what is on the chart just do a extra wrap, the extra wrap normally increases it by "1" give or take.) The chart should give you some kinda idea with wire thickness/ohms
