MVP is prone to over charging (I over charged an MVP 1) I have yet to come to any conclusions on the Itaste VTR but feels solid If I were you I'd just go for the I34. I've seen the I34 mini and it's lovely

@alopezg1 - I have the mvp2 and can say it is a nice solid bit of kit. I also have mech mods and a vtr which use separate batteries; I use a nitecore intellicharger which I found well recommended online - it has behaved well for me. I also gather the Xtar VP1 and Efest LUC are good. I found this video really helpful re batteries and chargers: I get my batteries from: www.ebay.co.uk/sch/big_f_d_d/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=There are several threads on this forum re batteries - type, protected/unprotected etc - this one is full of useful bits: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/36910/mechanical-modHope this helps - it's a start anyway. Good luck with your battery research!

OK Thanks everyone
I pretty much have it down to the segelei zmx kit, the vamo v5 kit , the itaste svd kit or the itaste 134 or 134 ini kit. I don't feel to keen on a box MOD, i am not sure why. I want to buy something that will last a long time if I take care of it ... i have a feeling that out of all of them the 134 has the most durability , it's just so huge and odd looking though. The Mini seems like a good option but you can only use small batteries with it. The Vamo v5, segelei zmak and itaste svd all seem pretty similar , i don't know. Is there a difference in quality and durability between them? Thanks again

I also don't like the hand feel of it, the edges aren't smooth in the hand. The ZMax and Vamo are similar, but I think the ZMax just edges it in terms of quality. I also prefer the single button control on the ZMax, with the Vamo, I'm forever turning the power up or down by mistake when I press the fire button. HTH

Hi there i have the zmax for about 2 months and out of curiosity got the vamo yesterday. They both are quite similar, but for me, it has to be the zmax, the casing is a little bit smoother and it just looks better to me . There is a difference in that as the zmax is telescopic, you can set it up to what batteries you want to use with tubes in tact, whereas with the vamo, you have to carry the extra tube if you want it in 18650 mode. If you intend to carry the mod in 18650 mod it is slightly larger than the zmax. I am waffling, but as i said i like both and if i had got the vamo first, would have been happy, but having the zmax first; it slightly does better for me

Having 2 vamos I will say they do tend to be a bit slippy to hold, and are long 18650 battery devices, and thus tend to fall over at the slightest touch. Not game changing issues, but 'omg the vamo's fallen over again' is something you'll get used to.

Just Google SVD Firing and you'll see........ I had to send mine back to China which is a bit of a PITA, it did get sorted and I got my money back including P&P................... eventually.

Thanks again I had the vamo and i did not like the way you can accidentally hit the power up and down buttons by accident so i got the zmax and i love it as i said in another post beware of the itaste svd as some of them have dodgy firing buttons and i have taken 2 back to the shop for a refund as they both kept turning on and off

Or maybe i should just save up a little longer and get a provari? are they worth the extra £'s ? I had a provari in my grubby little mitts for a matter of seconds at a meet and that was more than long enough for me to fall for them. But the same was true of the Vamo. As soon as I held one, I knew I wanted one and dropped £20 on my SS V5 a week or so later. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/40053/why-never-owned-before is worth a quick read. As lovely as Provaris are, you could get yourself started with a V5 for about a quarter of the price everything factored in and that might be the way forward. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards
