Impromptu meet up at Beacon Vape (Cornwall)

Thanks Chrissie. Not a good time for us but managed to divert my daughter by taking her for a paddle up the Fal this evening, complete with riverside bacon rolls and coffee!! I think she is quietly very sad and not too sure how she should react, but I think that the FIL's hours are now numbered.
Apparently he has a chest infection, but the doctor is not going to treat it with antibiotics, that usually means that there is no point.
He is fading away, painful to see, but inevitable, the question is just when he goes
I'll try to get there circumstances permitting.

2 uncles
my mother
my wife
my dad
and 6 very close friends

Bleddy hell ronaldo, that makes my/our imminent loss pale into insignificance.
I think that your resilience and sense of self-worth are even more remarkable given the family loss that you have endured recently. Hope you can make it down to Cornwall soon, preferably with your children, so we can have a good chinwag and vape!!

that is the one thing that I am working on I cannot wait to get down there the one thing that really helps to keep me going is this forum and all the great members on it I felt terrible when I first joined on here then with helping other people it gives me a sence of purpose and I look forward to being on here most of the day I will get down to see you as soon as I can

Just got back from a pleasant couple of hours at zeldamum's shop in the company of Q, @wil7985, captainbongo, Chrissie, and some of Helen's friends who vape and will hopefully be joining the forum soon!

Hope your family situation is resolved soon, waiting for the inevitable is horrible, especially explaining it to the youngsters.

I did think about it Raffles, but didn't want to embarrass anyone!
I think it's a matter of hours now; I'll know more when the OH gets back - she's been at here parents' all day. I'm on the 'daughter to and from work' run this evening, and hope the wife will be back by the time I get back

I really enjoyed this afternoon, great company 9 vapers turned up which is really good for Cornwall and for such short notice.

Raffles I think there would have been tutu trying on if something stronger than coffee was available.
