Trying to get to grips with the terminology a bit and think I am getting there, as I understand it a cartomiser which is what I currently use is a tank with a window in it so you can see the liquid level and these come in glass or plastic, a clearomiser is similar except that it's perfectly clear so you can see all the innards and juice, what then is an atomiser?
Are these all pretty much interchangeable with the Ego batteries? and finally whats the difference between a single and a dual coil?

Technically, a cartomiser is a metal tube with a heating element and wadding to soak up the juice. It's the original juice storage method, and very old school now, although some people like them. A clearomiser can be plastic or glass, and enables you to see the juice inside. All are interchangeable with an eGo battery using either the eGo threads on the outside or the 510 fitting on the inside. Dual coil atomiser ('atty') heads have two coils, giving a double whammy on vapour and flavour, but a thirstier tank, hence the larger sizes. They also tend to last longer as the two coils share the power load and don't burn out so quickly. HTH

Don't throw away old heads, they can be recoiled easily and cheaply, and if you don't fancy doing them, shout out here and someone will offer to do them for you!

I have yet to catch on to the terminology . I have battery - a clear thing with a thing inside with a thread attached that I put my liquid into and then screw on the mouth piece .. so I have a battery, a thing, a thing and a mouth piece but whatever I have its working !!

There are lots of thingy's out there, I'm sure it's a proper technical term (I for one use it quite a lot! Even a year and a half on in my vaping journey!! )
And even when you use the 'thingy' word, there's always someone on this forum who knows exactly what you're talking about, is willing to help and advise and doesn't undermine or deride you for using it!!
I love this forum!!
