Thank's people for the fantastic welcome in the beginners section. Now I would like your opinion's on upgrading from my spinner's/pro tanks. Looking at MVP/VAMO'S etc,I would like to be as faff free as possible. I have seen one I really like the look of, but can't find much info on it.it's the EPOWER V 2 just like the style of it but not sure if it's much good, anyway many thanks in advance.

That E-Power is very similar to a MVP, have not heard about the E-power with regards to reliability, price is not too bad. It may be a bit thin and if you use something like a RBA on it may look funny. Had another look at the Epower 1. It's only variable voltage 2. Large steps in the voltage output: * Yellow = 3.3v * Green = 3.7v * Rose Red = 4.2v * Blue = 4.6v * Red = 5v The MVP does 0.1v steps 3. Does not come with a "beauty ring" 4. Comes with 2x Evod style Clearomisers Cheap @ £30 for a kit HEREMVP link HERE

Morning I echo what Des said if you like the box form in his second link to my epack at the mvp or vtr. The one you were looking at would limit you to using small form factor clearomizers and limit you to 2ohm coils and above.I would say that is too limiting and not a good investment.have a look at the mvp and vtr both highly regarded and well used devices hth.

I found a basic unboxing video, attractive little thing but I would suspect its limitations would be frustrating. The power jumps are OK but the only powering over 2.0ohms would be a bit of a pain? For occasional use it would be handy but not as your only e-cigarette...and at £45 that might be a tad expensive for occasional vaping. I use a SD Keyring (£15) for my emergency mod as its so small and cheap. I wonder if you might end up trying to vape your phone and answer calls on the epower v2 !!

jackcustard - if you want a box mod, then the MVP is surely the mod to go for. I don't own one, but the number of people who do and who are pleased with it on this forum alone makes it a serious contender. If you want a cylindrical mod, then the world's your oyster, depending on what you want from the mod. Questions you should ask: 1) is it VV or VW? - IMHO VW is the way to go 2) does it take more than one size of battery? - gives more flexibility 3) does it perform extra functions like resistance checker, battery life etc.? - all v. useful 4) size - a Vamo is quite large, whereas smaller mech mods are almost palm sized so more discreet. 5) heft? - for instance the SID is very lightweight, whereas my Caravela mech mod is reassuringly heavy There are I'm sure other things you need to ask yourself, but at the end of the day, based on reliability and looks, the choice is yours. There are more and more choices available, which of course makes life even more tricky to decide.

Only 1800mah battery, Not V W and a quoted battery life expectancy of only Batteries approx lifespan is 1-4 months. WTF MVP is your best option of the two that DiscoDes recommended.

Back to topic and the SD thing looks very interesting as a nice back up! it is...mainly because I'm always nipping out for half an hour and forgetting my mod so this sits in my handbag pocket It vapes surprisingly well, on standard carto's (thats a boge f15 tank with 2.5 boge) and its a 3.7v battery 300mah and is automatic. The minus is that recharging it is slow and its an open connection so if you tip juice down it, it'll kill it off - but for a convenient vape and for stealth use, it is superb.

Have you considered the iTaste v3 VV/VW? It's reasonably cheap but seems decently made and is a pretty good step up from the eGO. My experience is that it works well with EVODs and Protank Minis.

The MVP is a great step up to vv/vw, well built and easy to use, with a battery that would last up to 2 days without charging(average vaping). You can even charge up your MP3 player or Mobile off of it using USB. I kinda wish I had got one as a backup rather than the SVD that I got. A mech might mean to much faffing around for what you want, like checking the voltage of battery and swapping it over before voltage drops too far. Youll get a more consistent vape with a vv/vw, and you wont run the risk of over-discharging the battery. The itaste VV V3 is a good spinner size battery but as you have spinners anyway you may as well use the spinners as your backup and see where you want to go later on down the road.

I'd go for the MVP v2 , sturdy, reliable , does what it says on the tin.
No need for batteries and charger , charge will give two days of solid vaping.
It's a very very good device, I used to own one and the only thing you need to be careful with is being too rough when screwing your atties/ tanks on.
