Oops - I thought lemon/lime was one of those flavours that was good to go fairly soon

Oops - I thought lemon/lime was one of those flavours that was good to go fairly soon The longer you leave it, the better it gets - sure, you can vape it now, but I bet if you had made 30ml instead of 5ml, by the end of the bottle it would be stunning!

chykensaStunning? I don't think so just yet, but thank you for your vote of confidence ... I might do some labels for my concoctions as & when I do more - I think the name says it all

Love the labels! You might want to put the strength on them, rather than the %age flavour mix. And I hope you are saving the recipes - if you use www.eliquid-recipes.co.uk you will find exactly the same calculator but with the advantage that you can save them, either privately or publicly if you come across a stunner that you would like to share. There is also the chance to peruse everyone else's recipes too

Yes thanks again chykensa - I will get that programme, although with the above mix calc thing, I can email it to myself, but it's in a simplified version with just amounts in it rather than the target - I'll look at that eliquid recipes one now cheers.

Arghhhhh
The Nicotine liquid - can you get different types - mine says "72mg/ml Nicotine in VG"
Are there others I can look at & what is the difference?
Also - I kept getting the 'error' message when generating the recipe saying it needed more VG - why does it do that? I'm not sure I want 50/50 all the time because it won't let me do 70/30 ...

Next time get nicotine base in PG, it will give you much more flexibility - like HERE

CaptainChaos, ah well, I tried! OK, here goes again You have a 72mg/ml VG nic base and you want to make 24mg/ml juice. 24/72 = 0.333333 or 1/3 So for every mix you make, 1/3 or 33.3% of your total volume will be your VG nic base. Got me so far? The rest of your mix will be flavourings and dilutants (PG & VG) If you add no additional VG at all to your mix, 1/3 of it will still be VG, because that is what your base is. So the minimum VG % you can have is 33.3% For the calculator, it doesn't work in % decimals, so you can enter 66/34 as your PG/VG desired ratio, which is close enough to 70/30 as to not make a noticeable difference. If you enter 66/34, your recipe will give you a teeny weeny bit of VG to add... ignore that, and just add PG instead. Is that easier to understand or am I on a hiding to nothing?

Oh I sort of get it now, lairey thank you. I think that I'll get the PG Nicotine next time, or something I don't know - I'm going to persevere with the one I've got first though, if that's ok

CaptainChaos To check the measurements of your syringes you could put 1ml of water into the syringe that's marked in ml's and then squirt it into a cup or something, and then syringe it up into the other one to see where it comes to on it. If you find that the units are not ml's then you could mark the 1ml with nail polish or something.

40 units on the small thin syringes = 1ml

Sorry - I didn't see that chykensa had already suggested that.

Sorry - I didn't see that chykensa had already suggested that. Great minds think alike, Phoenixflame (Julie)!! Glad you've got that sorted, CaptainChaos, I had visions of you trying to flog a van-load of dodgy syringes on a street corner
