what do you do about returning an item?

Not sure where to post this but i brought two mini aerotanks and on one of them the airflow control is loose and spins when put down. I called the vendor, the main person was not there but the person on the phone said just post it back to us with a note, now i am apprehensive about this as there does not seem to be a plan for after it is received. I am thinking to ask for a replacement (it is 2 days old) but also know that the vendor can be hard to contact for communication.

Do i send it back or cut my loss?

You will probably get a new one anyway Mrs,send it recorded so you have proof,if it's broken it needs replacing.

I'd also include a copy of the invoice, just gives them all the info in one go.

and make a pciture for yourself first - but try to contact them again to see what the actual procedure is
