This is my very first time here so I'm hoping I'm doing this right... I've been vaping a little over 3 week's, I started out with the Evod 2.. Then I got the itaste mvp 2.0 shine edition.... I wanted more than what I was getting from the Evod 2, but now I'm having issue's with the itaste mvp. If I turn up the voltage & the watts it's burning through the coils in like a day or two tops.. So I have to keep it turned down & I'm back where I started & I'm not happy, I don't know what to do, my coils won't hold up to the higher settings, where I want to be vaping. ... Help what do I do

Hi tifffai8 and welcome! Some more experienced members and users of the MVP will I'm sure be able to point you in the right direction but I guess the first thing to do is to make sure that you've got it setup right. I've got a different iTaste device but I think it works the same. You either use it in Voltage or Watts (Power) mode and not both. Which do you have it set to?

tifffai8 - hi and a warm welcome from me! I too don't use the MVP, but there are many vapers here who would be able to help you, but you may have to wait until a little later when the sun goes down - I suspect many of them are out enjoying it while they can

tifffai8 - I have only had my MVPs for a short time, but from what I've used, you've got the settings too high, especially the voltage. The voltage is the one that is probably burning your coils out quickly. Turn both of them down, and turn the Watts up bit by bit until it starts getting better - when it tastes 'burnt', knock it back one step. By all means stick the voltage higher than the lowest setting, but if it is up at the top, it'll not be pleasant. If there are any veteran MVP users out there, please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've learnt from this site is what i've just said

tifffai8 - what resistance coils are you using?
The higher the better if you are going high with the volts.

The last one you set is that one that's being used. That being said... Hi tifffai8 and to the forum. What tanks are you using? The ones that came with the evods? IMO, you would see a massive improvement if you got yourself something like the Kanger Aerotank... dual coil and it has airflow control (AFC) so you can adjust both the power on your MVP and the Airflow on your tank. Also, what strength juice are you using and what PG/VG ratio? Is it more throat hit that your after? Higher PG will give you more throat hit. You will probably get more welcomes and advice if this was on the Beginners board... maybe one of our lovely mods could move it please? ( Chrissie, Karma, jess, Perpetua?)

Thanks for the tag, lairey. Hello & welcome to the forum, tifffai8. As you see, you've been moved, for the reasons above. Shame I'm a numpty vaper though, so I can't offer any advice on your watts & voltage. Thankfully, there are loads of others that can.

Welcome tifffai8Generally speaking, single coils won't like going above 8 watts on an MVP (not for long....) Most dual coils are happy up to 10... BUT you could easily get dry hits if you vape quickly.

tifffai8Welcome to the Forum. As has been mentioned, if your using the stock coils over 8 watts this is the likely cause of your woes.
