50w through a quad coil actually makes a lot of sense when your trying to get enough power to each coil but when they 50w through a single sub ohm coil then I'm stumped

They want voltage regulation for sub-ohming
0.5 ohm @ 4.2 V = 35 W
0.2 ohm @ 4.2 V = 88 W

Not been tempted behind 30 W myself.

Tried it but it does bugger all for me either.
But 80w through a single .4ohm coil with zero nic plus lung inhale makes for an warm intense Vape.
That and the fact that some people just have to push the envelopes.

What do you get out of it? Is it mind blowingly and radically different to say a decent 3mm-6mm wick arrangement and a 8-10 watt vape?

Is it a " I vape at 50 watts and therefore I am God" complex therefore romanticizing the idea?

Obviously you would vaporize large quantities of juice and produce so much vapour that you can't see what is in front of you.

There is always the risk of producing acrolein and vaping something toxic. Using high powered batteries in a mech mod brings it own risks. People say "you better know what you are doing", but do the one's who say it know what they are doing? I doubt it very much.

Pushing boundaries is all very well, but this just somehow seems the wrong boundary to push.

I'm with you mate but I will defend higher power through multiple coils.
But I really need to be in the mood.
What really worries me is that some of these muppets have no idea about battery safety when they try their ,3ohm builds and one day the resulting bad press that follows the disaster that awaits will damage vaping.

Can't comment on higher power as I haven't yet felt the need to go higher than 30W. At 22-30 W dual coil geni I get a relay dense or full-bodied vape and the best flavour around 25 W, where I may take a 12 second drag on a Kayfun at 12 W I take a 4 or 5 second one that is more satisfying. It not too hot at these levels and I don't care about clouds at all just flavour and the feeling when inhaling. But your wicking has to be able to keep up.

Its all personal taste, its not better or worse than vaping a tank a 10-12 W.

Personally I think its just stupid and risks alienating the anti brigade and giving the powers that be more ammunition to ruin vaping for people that do it to keep off the fags.
But like with most things theres always a bunch of muppets that end up mucking it up for everyone else.

I see your point and don't think cloud chasing does us any credit, but flavours are what the ants like bashing us with the most. I just vape tobacco flavours, but don't comdem those who enjoy other flavours, I think they are a positive thing that will make stinkies harder to go back to.

I agree, I think anything that keeps people off the stinkies is a good thing.
What worries me is that the for the first time since the smoking ban came in i have not felt like a social outcast when needing my nicotine fix in a public place.
If these cloud chaser start filling places with massive clouds and p@@sing people off then they are going to help make vaping as socially unacceptable as stinkies.

Exactly I have 2 dna 30, s and the most I vape at is 18w. Its not about clouds its about finding that sweet spot to try and substitute what you used to get from a draw on a stinky.
If you buy a car that does 200 mph you dont have to try and drive it at that speed all the time.
I just feel that vaping was originally invented to help people get off the stinkies and help improve their health, but it seems to me that its going to be ruined by people who don't need to vape cos they are not hooked on nicotine and just want to impress their mates by filling a room with clouds.

It's partly the constant quest for something new/different to get people who essentially are quite happy with their set ups , to spend their pennies I reckon Macca.

Persuading them that they are missing out on some wonderful vaping experience if they don't.

One thing i am seeing quite a bit is bigging up high watts and sub ohm builds but not informing the consequences if not done correctly with batteries etc.

I do get quite worried sometimes for those who might just jump in and see.
