Ok so taking my time and trying different options, this week, i have... Do I have the basics down? 1)Using 1.7ohm microcoil with cotton wool 2)Using Efest IMR high drain battery 18650 3)Battery charge is currently 3.6 volts - needs to be changed when it drops off around 3.5-3.4v no lower than 3.2 (which i assume would be unvapeable anyhows) 4) Must keep contacts clean and regularly check battery is in good condition 5) Dont set down upright unless locking ring has been put on, if in doubt, lay it on its side Added: clean the threads and inside of the switch now and again and the contacts on the battery Have i forgotten anything, I am not using a kick as my nemesis arrived before i had the chance to order

You can use the resistance to change the vape just as you would by the buttons on a regulated mod.. Your batteries will handle a discharge down to 2.7v without any problems but like you say, the vape will have died off long before then!! for cleaning your contacts, this stuff is the bees knees. I use it on all of the contact points of my mods and batteries. Might be worth getting some of this too.

What a super job! I would notice a drop off in vape (with a 1.7ohm) around 3.6v myself, so that's when I charge them. That and they are great with a fresh battery!

Brilliant dan just want to make sure i get it correct before continuing No problem just as well I checked the thread again as you didn't tag me (my tag is @ dc84) If that's a nemesis and you are constantly worried about the locking ring, it may be worth getting some of the switch magnets in the future. Did my head in having to lock it off everytime I wanted to set it down! You can then stand it upright (even with a full kayfun) and it won't fire. (Just put it down gently) Bought mine from vapist.net but they don't seem to do them anymore. Stealthvape do them though. You want the n45 ones. click me for magnet goodness

It will deliver the set power to the best of it's ability until the battery is discharged to a set value. (3.2v would be an uneducated guess)

Just add clean the threads and inside of the switch now and again and the contacts on the battery. Meths is a reasonable substitute for IPA, IPA is a little better.

There's a guy who joined back in 2012 who'll probably have nigh 100 notifications if he ever logs back in I can understand your worries. I used to check mine constantly.. handy if you're only putting it down for a few seconds though..

I find anything less than around 3.5 volts and the flavour isn't there and there's much less vapour. Basically if you have a setup that was really good an hour ago and isn't much use anymore it's time for a fresh battery. Use your zmax to see the charge on your batteries before you put them on charge and they will probably still show 3.4 to 3.6. Try aiming for between 1 ohm and 1.3 sometime. Personally I find that's where my kayfun is best.
