I'm having nothing but problems with a couple of clearomizers I got from Ecignet which coincidentally has extremely poor after sales service. This has been my first time using bottom coil clearos which I expected to be an improvement from the cheaper ones I was using but the Aspire and Evod i've gotten are extremely temperamental and nothing but a headache. Something I've noticed however with the Evod from looking at pics online is that there a circular translucent piece of what looks like plastic or rubber on top of the metal part with the wicks. You can see it here, if you click on the pic which shows just the coil: www.myvaporstore.com/Kanger_EVOD_eGO_Bottom_Coil_Clearomizer_p/krev.htmIf anyone's wary about clicking links if you just Google Evod clearomizer the same pics come up of the coil. My one doesn't have this, could that be why it keeps gurgling and leaking? Also am I correct in thinking that the effects of a coil burn out in a top coil clearomizer would not be leaking/gurgling issue but more likely to do with taste and draw?

Should definitely have the cap fitted on the head, (some people even recommend putting another cap on upside down to prevent the gurgling).

Bang on. That is the silicon seal for the chimney. Anything leaking into there could go straight into your mouth. TBH I don't recall seeing anyone on here ever recommending ecignet as a vendor, but I could be wrong.
Whatever, you definitely should have that seal in there.
Also you are correct in your thoughts about a burned top coil. If it's just burned your juice will taste burned until you've run some through or you clean/change it. If it's burned out you'll get nothing from it.
