iv got two of these and they are both the same , why is it if i screw the bottom button in the locking ring goes tight ? they are fine once relessed . it doing my head in as nothing comes in to contact with it outer or inner when its in the open posion ,,,, any one

The button? What tubes are you using and what size battery?

I sometimes get this and have to turn back the switch slightly to release the locking ring. This doesn't happen all the time so doesn't really bother me.
