Oh, I'm not worried. And I'm well prepared. My only concern is others believing that vaping is going to continue being the pastime we have now.

At the very least geordie, we are going to have more scrutiny in the industry. Which increases costs. Where there is no ability to scrutinise, goods from China for example, restrictions on imports.

I think the scrutiny could go to far though. I hate it, but I feel all the kit we use could end up outlawed, or at least prohibited. All we could use outside of our homes will be the good ole cig-a-likes and maybe ego batteries and CE4s. Bad thought I know!!

I don't think that anything we use now will become illegal to own or use after the TPD is implemented, just to retail.

(Worst Case Scenario) (My opinion only) My Opinion Only - how on earth will that be policed though? As if the plod don't have enough to be getting on with, what with all the paperwork and bureaucracy they have to contend with. I can hardly see a panda car screeching to a halt and confiscating my Caravela and Russian because I'm vaping walking down the road! On a serious note, I agree that too much scrutiny will have an adverse effect on our vaping as we presently know it. With restrictions on strength, amount of juice we can buy, and only being able to buy approved 'devices', that will put a lot of people off. It is up to us to put as much pressure on the Government as we can to make them see past the financial side of things and consider the health and well-being of their citizens. Oops, there goes another flying pig

Oh absolutely. I've already written to my MP on this subject. Along the lines of GM food approval versus personal vapourisers.

I've been one for years geordie. Smuggled tobacco for the last 20 years. Now I'm quite sanguine about doing the same with vaping.

The vast majority neither smoke nor vape. So they really don't care. I'm finding quite the opposite from non-smokers, never-been smokers. The vast majority of people in those categories I've spoken to whilst vaping away are actually very very interested, supportive and do appear to care. Conversations I've had with these people when discussing the TPD regulations coming in are quite aghast at the idea of so much regulation and think it totally ridiculous, they do appear to be in favour of e-cigs in general and think they are a great idea and seem to be really pleased that people are using these to give up smoking. Many non-smokers either have family members or friends who smoke and say they would prefer it if they changed over to e-cigs. I've managed to get a large number of non-smokers to support us and they've gladly signed the EFVI form to help us with our cause. The main people I've found who are not supportive are smokers who don't even want to try an e-cig, they're the ones who have spouted off to me about how unsafe they are and how they wouldn't be seen dead "smoking one of them stupid things", normally whilst they're smoking a 'known' killer

I can remember how some people looked down on me when I smoked, it doesn't make you friendly. Maybe you should carry a 0.2 ohm dripper and 54 mg juice and dare them to have ago if they think they can take it

I believe we are winning. Now obviously the gov are not going to let things continue as they are, because they are losing so much tax on ciggies. The savings on the nhs would not be taken into consideration for many many years , because a lot of us have already done the damage, and it will take many years to see those savings.
However in the past 2 weeks I have seen more vapers than smokers. Not an e-light, usually an ego/ ce4 setup, a couple of itaste vv, and even aqua toppers of some description.
Some have been happily puffing away, other have had them hung around their neck, others I have caught sneakily taking it out of a pocket having a couple of puffs and putting it back.
I am amazed, if I can see this here a small town , with no vaping shop for at least 15 miles , I believe we are taking over, and whatever govt is seriously going to have to think before making changes.

My eldest works in Asda and says they've just devoted a whole stand to refillable ego style ecigs and juices, I've not seen it yet but she thinks it's the blu brand. Also since her cars been off the road (again) and she's been using public transport she's been amazed at the amount of people using ecigs at bus stops, she saw someone behind her surrounded by a cloud of what she assumed was smoke so she braced herself for the awful smell, however when it reached her she said it was a very pleasant strawberry/raspberry smell something similar to my red Astaire. She was so pleased she turned and beamed at the vaper. He must have thought his luck was in lol
