Nautius coil won't unscrew, stuck into chimney, not base

Hi Friends, 

I've got a brand new, authentic Nautilus and I love it. But it comes with one issue. 

Instead of being screwed into the base, the coil head is stuck into the chimney.
And I mean stuck. I can't unscrew it for the life of me. And I'm afraid to apply too much force and break the tank. 

This is seriously problematic. A, because I can't change the coil head. And B, because I cannot remove the glass tank and wash it, as the coil head prevents the narrower part of the tank from sliding off. 

I've screwed on the base, screwed off, on again, etc. I've used paper towels to get a firmer grip on the coil head. Nothing doing. 

Would someone please have a tip on how to unscrew the coil and make sure that next time it stays screwed into the base?

put it in the freezer for 10 mins and use rubber gloves when you unscrew it
